PATRICE D. BOWMAN

After I graduated with a B.A. in Film Studies from Yale College in 2015, I moved to New York City to pursue my film career.​

As a writer/director, my work focuses on the mental and spiritual conflicts of women of color. My short films have screened nationwide at many festivals, including the Academy Award-qualifying Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival & Lecture Series. I was a 2023 artist-in-residence at the Ucross Foundation. I'm also a Stowe Story Labs alumna.​

Continuing my love for art and technology, as of April 2026 I work in audio-visual technology support at Yale.​

In my free time, I take photos for myself and for others.
